Disease control in oats

Crown rust and mildew are the target foliar diseases in oats. Crown rust, if severe, can reduce yiely by 10 – 20%. It favours warm, humid weather and causes orange / brown pustules on the leaf surface which can grow to form black pustules later in the season. Mildew, by contrast, favours cool wet weather and forms white, fluffy pustules on the leaf surface.

The T0 / T1 timing is the most important timing in oats to keep mildew under control. Flexity® is a good option for preventative mildew control. Containing metrafenone, it delivers good protection and moderate curative activity against mildew.

Flexity is a fungicide with protectant properties for use in winter and spring oats, for the control of mildew and moderate curative control of mildew in the latent phase.
